See where our Belgian-style beer is brewed with Nik, our Belgian founder, or head brewer Darren, then taste six of our beers.

Pub quiz night

Quizmaster Pete hosts a pub quiz in the taproom about twice a month, with a big music quiz in the Event Hall every other month. Bring a team, order a pizza and settle in.

Oktoberfest in Bishop's Stortford

Our own Oktoberfest takes over the brewery for two days. In 2027 it's Friday 1 and Saturday 2 October.

Drop in for a beer and a pizza

No booking needed for the taproom. We pour 13 of our own beers on draught, brewed on site, with stone-baked pizza and chips from our oven.

  • Private tasting: eight beers with a talk and pizza, from £300 for up to 10
  • Event Hall: 90 seated or 120 standing, with its own bar
  • Mezzanine: a private room above the bar for up to 50

What is there to do at The Belgian Brewer?

Brewery tours with a tasting, pub quizzes, live music, food nights and our Oktoberfest, plus the taproom with 13 of our own beers on draught and stone-baked pizza.

Do I need to book?

For tours, quizzes, tastings and ticketed events, yes: book online, as places are limited. For the taproom, just come in.

How much is a brewery tour?

£20 per person, including a tasting of six of our beers. It takes 90 to 120 minutes. See tour dates.

Is it good for a group or a party?

Yes. Private tastings start at £300 for up to 10 people, and the Event Hall holds up to 120. See private hire.

Are children and dogs welcome?

Yes: children with a parent or guardian, and dogs too. Brewery tours and tastings are for over 18s only.
